Holy Basil Essential oil
Botanical name: Ocimum Sanctum 
Geographical Origin: India. 

A few drops diluted into a carrier oil such as Jojoba oil or refined Sesame oil is very good to relieve discomfort from insect bites and is said to lessen the effects of ringworm, and insect bites. 

One or two drops of Holy Basil oil can be put into a glass of water and used as a gargle. This mixture an help clears phlegm from the respiratory tract, and protects it from infection. 
It also kills infections of the mouth and throat. Essential oil of Tulsi is often recommended for asthma, bronchitis, coughs, colds, flu. and rheumatism.
This wonderful oil has been used for many years and has many health benefits, the list is endless In India, Tulsi is known to be a blood purifier and a heart tonic. 

Three or four drops of Holy Basil essential oil can be put on a warm, damp washcloth and laid on the abdomen for stomach cramps and indigestion. 

The spicy scent of Holy Basil stimulates the mind and raises both courage and belief in oneself. 

Precautions 
This is a strong oil and should not be used undiluted. 

Please consult your doctor before using this oil if you are taking anti clotting agents as it does have the effect of thinning the blood., including paracetamol.
